I have been reading Following the Trend by Andreas Clenow. I have also been reading Stock Picking for Profit by Simon Thompson, who is the small caps expert for UK magazine Investors Chronicle. I have to say this is a very good book which talks about how to analyse company accounts and find hidden opportunities in the markets.
Unfortunately, this is not a very well known book and hard to get hold of. It doesn’t seem to be available on Amazon. I got mine from YPD Books and the delivery was very quick.
This Week’s chart
This week’s chart comes from the New York Times and shows which industries have come through the great recession and which industries are still struggling to recover.
How the recession shaped the economy, read the full article on the New York Times.
Here are some more things I’ve been looking at:
An evening with Ed Sekyota (some great anecdotes from this post by Jon Boorman).
This is how you take $1k to $7 million in two years.
3 Overlooked US stocks looking cheap.
How to invest in Tinder.
Interesting documentary about a startup during the dotcom bubble and crash.
The rise in the dollar could be just about over.
That’s all for now, what have you been reading lately?
